Our neighboring towns (Montvale, Park Ridge, Hillsdale, River Vale, Westwood) are currently experiencing growing pains as they face challenges with high density and maintaining small classes and quality education.
In Montvale, a special election referendum is scheduled for December asking its district of 6,808 registered voters to approve $29.4 million for school expansion and upgrades to keep the small class sizes. This will increase school taxes. The district projects the average homeowner would pay $325 for 25 years to pay off. See Pascack Press - Montvale Dec 14 Ballot
Montvale's density increase will filter into Pascack Hills H.S. which will impact WCL's taxes, too. We need to protect Woodcliff Lake from these challenges.
Westwood Regional School District is looking at the rising developments and anticipating a need for more classroom space as well. See Pascack Press - More Housing, more classrooms: District, up against developments...
